AMBER LU TALKS FASHION, PHOTOGRAPHY AND PHILANTHROPY

You may have seen Amber Lu strutting her stuff on the catwalks for Hermès, Karen Millen, Stuart Weitzman, Betsey Johnson or Benetton, or working with known brands such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and Wella. You might also recognize her from her appearance on the catwalk for designers from the hit television show Project Runway. But who is this glamazon and what is she about? We met with Amber who was sweet enough to answer a few short questions for us, so we could get to know her a little better. A dazzling doyenne*, Amber is charismatic and exudes a warm presence that makes one instantly feel at ease around her.

Not only did we learn that Amber is a Boston based designer, fashion model, and photographer, but that she’s also an avid activist. She began her career as a fashion model while in her young teens when her family moved to the City of Boston, Massachusetts, where she developed her portfolio working for numerous high fashion brands. Amber’s career in modeling has taken her around the world, doing runway shows in the most revered fashion cities, including Paris, Milan, New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong. However, when she gets a day off from striking a pose and walking the runway, Amber puts her energy towards something that is near and dear to her heart, philanthropy and charity work. Amber has worked for numerous charities and covered a wide range of missions, but one that is very important to her is animal rescue. She uses her visibility in the fashion industry to educate her audience about rescue animals and the need for responsible pet ownership. She’s a big fan of adoption and believes, without a doubt, that 'Rescue is the New Breed'.
